Surly

Surly and I met at the Chicago 43Things Meet. She was at the opposite end of the table from me, so I wasn’t able to chat with her much. The awkward thing between us is that she asked the waitress if she could change the tv channel to the Browns/Steelers game. That evoked comments from a group of guys sitting nearby, and I chimed in that I’m from Pennsylvania and I don’t even watch them play.

So even though we don’t have the same taste in football games, it was still cool to meet her finally. I’m just sorry I missed her bellydancing.

Surly is just plain fun to be with, which you might not guess, given her screen name. She’s a great hostess, with a bottle of wine always at the ready. Her faithful sidekick is great, too!

And just to clarify her recent comments, it was not ME involved in the belly dancing! Due to the sacred Pinkie Swear, I cannot divulge exactly who that was … :)

Last time I saw Lisa she was sitting waaaaaaaaaaaay down the other end of the table from me :(
